Opening of the new R&D laboratory

WILCO AG has opened a new development laboratory. After four months of construction, the modern laboratory for development and services is ready for occupancy. The team led by Dr. Matthias Kahl, Head of R&D and lab services, will move into the new premises in June. Flexible work areas and space for test setups are accommodated on more than 300 square meters.

Ceremonial handover to the team

Chairman of the Board Hagen Gehringer, Managing Director Uwe Bräuning and Matthias Kahl ceremoniously handed over the laboratory to the employees.

In his speech, Uwe Bräuning expressed his enthusiasm for the new laboratory and is convinced that it will provide the team with wonderful conditions for creative technology development and professional laboratory services. The laboratory is the platform for solving complex challenges even faster with innovative approaches. For 50 years, innovation has been the driving force for the specialist Swiss machine builder to offer unique inspection solutions for leak testing and visual inspection all over the world. Hagen Gehringer added that the investment in the Wohlen site is also a commitment to WILCO AG's growth strategy.

Wide range of services

The WILCO team offers a wide range of services around state-of-the-art inspection systems for the pharmaceutical industry. These range from feasibility studies and method development to system design for visual inspection.

For the development of state-of-the-art inspection solutions, customer requirements are always in the foreground. The new laboratory environment is an important pillar to drive even better testing and technology development. From the wide range of technologies available, the best and most economical solution is evaluated in close cooperation with the customer.

WILCO laboratory prepares appropriate calibration standards for the calibration of Headspace Analysis Systems. For qualification and functional control of the systems, the laboratory offers positive or negative controls. In the new laboratory, the necessary work can be carried out even more efficiently.
